DO YOU SUFFER FROM
PHYSICS-PHOBIA?
If you need to take physics (either PHY 111 or PHY
211) but you... Then consider enrolling in this NEW COURSE This non-credit course meets for two hours each week and presents the basic concepts necessary for a student to be successful in a first-year algebra- or calculus-based physics course. Topics include: - learning the vocabulary of physics - solving mathematical proglems involving algebraic, trigonometric, vector and graphical analysis - incorporating the concepts of kinematics and Newton's laws to evaluate physics problems and solve for unknowns Specifically designed for students who may be under-prepared to take an algebra- or calculus-based college physics class and who need to review the mathematics required to be successful in physics. Prospective students should either be concurrently enrolled in a college algebra course or have successfully completed one. |
