Fundamentals of Weather

 

Catalog Description:
Meets the associate degree general education requirement in Science.  
4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term.
Introduces students to basic principles of atmospheric science.  Topics include composition and structure of the atmosphere, heat transfer through the atmosphere, humidity, cloud formation, precipitation, atmospheric pressure, winds, storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and pollution. 
Lab fee:  $30.
Prerequisite:  Eligibility for ENG 111 and for MAT 121 (Algebra and Trigonometry) or MAT 131 (College Algebra).
