| 4 credit hours - Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly; one term. | |
| A study of the interactions among organisms and between organisms and their physical environment at the population, community and ecosystem levels. Examine the fundamentals of experimental design, stream ecology, ecology of soils and forests, and population and community dynamics. Learn the techniques used to measure these interactions in the laboratory and the field for both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. May require one daylong Saturday field trip. | |
| Lab fee: $40. | |
| Prerequisite: BIO 101 or BIO 107 or permission of department chair. Eligibility for ENG 111 and for any general education math. | |
